Drawing from personal photographs, memories, and the phrases I grew up hearing, You Said is a reflective exploration of the language we inherit in childhood - how it shapes our sense of self and the world around us, and how those words can linger, subtly influencing us in ways perhaps never consciously intended. These familiar sayings, often repeated without question, can be comforting, confusing, or openly contradictory - revealing not only the enduring impact of language, but also how its meaning can be reshaped by time, context, and personal experience.
